OUR MISSION
TactileNeuro Lab was established to uncover the principles that govern the flexibility and stability of sensory coding in the nervous system, and to elucidate the pathophysiological mechanisms of autism spectrum disorders (ASD). We pursue rigorous, innovative research to advance fundamental neuroscience and deepen our understanding of brain function in health and disease.
We are equally committed to training the next generation of scientists by fostering critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and the confidence to pursue ambitious goals. As a collaborative lab, we actively share our knowledge, techniques, and resources to contribute to and grow with the broader scientific community.
Our tools
We use various functional imaging and molecular tools to study the nervous system

Two-photon microscope with tunable pulse laser, bessel beam system, and piezo actuator-based whisker manipulator
One-photon mesoscope to image entire dorsal cortex of mice

Custom-built scope for intrinsic optical signal imaging
Multi-plex in situ hybridization with HCR probes to determine cell types
